The Year of the Horse + Looking stupid + Why we quit too fast

Hey Reader,

Yesterday, I went on a long run that honestly tested my willpower to keep going.

During the run, I asked myself multiple times why I was doing that to myself. For a while, my mind sounded something along the lines of, "Why am I doing something that feels so uncomfortable and painful at times?" "Why am I putting myself through this?" "Why not just stop?" "What is the point of this?"

And so, for a while, my mind was only focused on the pain, on the negative aspects of running, and on how I was not good at it.

As a way to distract myself, I randomly started listening to the podcast The Diary of A CEO with Kevin Hart, and at the beginning of the episode, he talks about the biggest lesson he learned from his mother: Not starting things he wasn't going to finish.

He tells the story of how, when he was younger, he started a lot of things that he didn't complete, and the battle between him and his mom was always that he needed to finish them. He would say, "I want to quit." And his mom would always say, "No, you're going to finish it".

The timing of this lesson felt like a message right from God or the Universe. On the podcast, Kevin Hart goes on to say that when we start something, the thought of quitting comes easily as soon as it starts getting hard.

But to be able to be proud of ourselves, we have to see the things we start through the whole way, even when we don't feel like it anymore. Here's what he said on the podcast when he talked about this lesson:

"Why are you putting time into something, in the beginning, that you don't want to see through? Why
Or just because you have like a rough moment or rough patch, why is it so easy for you to quit? Why? Why is the idea of quit so quick to come out of you? And why are you so comfortable with the results of that?
That shouldn't be. And that shouldn't be my motto.
So, we don't stop
If we start something, we see it the entire way through.
At the end of it, even if you don't like it to the highest level, you know you put your time and energy into something that you're at least proud, proud, that you did. Proud that you're able to put a period on that sentence.
And now you just start the next thing.
But not until you complete something that you can honestly sit with yourself and go.
That's what life is. That's called seeing things through the entire way." - Kevin Hart.

Hearing this while being on a run felt ironic but painfully true. We often want to quit things when they get hard or uncomfortable. And so, we often forget why we even started in the first place.

So, here are the few takeaways I took from this:

  • Only do things that truly matter to you. Say yes only to things that are important to you and fully commit to them.
  • Remember the 'why' behind you started doing that thing that was initially important to you.
  • And remember that even when something doesn't feel fully aligned anymore with what you want, you can still strive to keep your word to yourself and see it through until the end.

A few other insights that resonated

While listening to this podcast, there were several other messages that stuck with me.

Here are the 3 main ones I want to share with you:

1. Be willing to look stupid. Ask the 'silly' questions.

So often, because we don't want to appear or sound stupid, we don't ask the "silly" questions that we have. We don't enter the bigger rooms for fear they will make us seem smaller. And we don't engage with situations and environments that are out of our comfort zones.

Be willing to be a beginner, be willing to be embarrassed, be willing to be a student.

Remind yourself often that the only way to learn, to grow, and to expand ourselves and our lives is to do things that we're not good at doing yet.

Embrace sucking at things before you get good at things.

2. Put yourself in unfamiliar and unknown places. Learn to think bigger than what you know right now.

We know only what we know. We all grew up knowing one kind of lifestyle, one type of family dynamics, one way of being successful, one way of being in life.

Recognize that there are probably many more ways to do anything in life and many ways in which you can be successful.

Be willing to put yourself in unfamiliar places and rooms.

Travel to new countries and cities as often as you can. Visit new places often. Learn about new cultures. And above all, open your mind to the different ways people do life, business, and relationships.

3. Focus on only ONE thing to finish

Everything worth it takes a long time. Stop the cycle of quitting one thing to start something else because the first one didn't give you the results you were expecting at the moment you were expecting them.

What are you willing to do for a long time, for 5, 10, 13 years, without giving up and still continuing to try?

That's the thing you will truly succeed at.

2026 is the Year of the Horse

Recently, I learned that according to the Chinese astrology, 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse. Because I love anything that helps me understand myself and others better, here’s something juicy: the vibe for 2026 is unmistakable. Fast. Bold. Freedom-focused. Basically… the opposite of overthinking.

If you’ve been feeling the urge to shake things up next year, you're not imagining it. 2026 is a global “let’s go” energy that pulls everyone out of stagnation and into movement. Let me break it down really quickly because it’s too good not to share.

2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse, and its energy affects everyone, no matter your Chinese zodiac sign. Think of it like the collective “weather” we all live under.

Here’s the vibe:

🔥 Fast Changes & Forward Momentum
This is a “move now, not later” kind of year. Decisions speed up, opportunities appear quickly, and life feels like it’s finally in motion again.

⚡️ Courage Over Perfection
Fire Horse energy pushes us to stop overthinking and take bold (even tiny!) steps. Hiding becomes harder. Action becomes easier.

✨ Big Creativity & New Directions
Expect more people starting projects, shifting careers, launching ideas, and expressing themselves more boldly. Creativity gets louder.

❤️ Truth & Passion in Relationships
Stuck dynamics get shaken loose. Honesty, boundaries, clarity, all of that becomes non-negotiable.

🌍 A Global Desire for Freedom
People everywhere will crave more independence, authenticity, and adventure. This is the year many finally make the move they’ve postponed for years.

💥 A “No More Waiting” Year
2026 rewards movement, not perfection. It’s a year of reinvention, fresh starts, and choosing the life you actually want.

In short?
2026 is the year that nudges all of us out of the waiting room and into the arena.
Momentum rises. Courage expands. And if you’ve been holding back… this is your sign that the energy ahead is on your side.

Long story short: 2026 is not a year for shrinking. It’s a year for movement, courage, and trying the thing that scares you a little (or a lot). Consider this your early nudge from the universe: Get started.

If all these things resonate with you and you're feeling exactly like this, my Live Workshop "From Stuck to Started" on December 5th, is exactly the first step you need to start 2026 already moving and taking action. Grab your spot now for only $19 (limited-time promo).

A few things I'm loving right now

(And stacking up while Back Friday offers are on)

✨ Healthy Hair:
I recently started taking Nutrafol, and I’m already obsessed with the quality of the ingredients and how they support thicker, healthier hair from the inside out.

✨ Balanced Hormones:
I’ve struggled with PCOS and irregular periods for as long as I can remember. One thing that’s made a huge difference these past 4–5 years is taking inositol. Right now I’m taking FLO Ovarian Health Support, and it’s been a game-changer for my cycle and overall hormonal balance.

✨ A Happy Gut:
I’ve been using ARMRA for a while now, and I love how much lighter, clearer, and more energized my body feels when my gut is supported.

P.S.1: If you've been craving change, momentum, and to finally say yes to the things you keep thinking about (for months and sometimes, even years), my new Live Workshop is exactly what you need. >> Get it here now for only $19

In 2026, decide this!

Hey Reader, There’s something about the beginning of a new year that always feels like standing in front of a blank page for me. There’s excitement. There’s a possibility. There's a "newness" in the air. But sometimes, there’s also pressure, pressure to reinvent ourselves overnight or to “finally become” the person we think we should already be. This year, instead of chasing urgency or thinking about what I "should" have been or done by now, I’ve been asking myself different questions: "What...

The Growth Zone Happens Here

Hey Reader, Today, I finally did my first full marathon at the Palm Beaches Marathon. I had already told you before in previous emails how I have been training to run my first marathon, but the truth is that I hadn't registered for this race until this past Wednesday because I wasn't sure that I would be "ready" for it. I kept thinking that maybe I should push it back a bit and run the Fort Lauderdale or Stuart Marathon early next year if I didn't feel ready to run this weekend. It was not a...
